The Club

Established in 1932, Adelaide University Rugby Union Football Club (AURugby) is the oldest and proudest rugby club in South Australia.
The Club is affectionately known as the “Blacks”, from the seniors “Uni-Blacks” to the juniors “Short-Blacks” and “Tall-Blacks”. We are a diverse, yet close-knit club, and we are proud of this diversity. We welcome players of all shapes, sizes, ages, nationalities, occupations and skill-levels to participate; everyone has a role to play.

BE PART OF A COMMUNITY

AURugby is more than just a Rugby club. It’s a community. Mums and Dads, Cousins and Friends are just as much a part of the club as the
players.
Our sponsors, volunteers and coaches all have a  role to play in making the club a success.

SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE

AURugby offers the best social atmosphere around. Club events abound throughout the year and are usually located at our clubrooms based at Waite oval. Sometimes this is a family event such as a quiz night or annual Hangi (Traditional Maori pit oven), other times it is a Senior event such as the AURugby Pub-Crawl, Ladies Day, Karaoke or Presentation Night.
Sometimes it is as simple as a gathering  to watch an international or Super Rugby match.
